JER IS HOME!
There is not a lot of news to report...we have been laying low here and catching up on all sorts of things like cleaning and household chores that had to wait while I was being a "single mom". The house is slowly starting to look like less of a dump and more like a house. Jer watched an episode of the Showtime series "Dexter" while he was on the airplane and immediately came home and rented the seasons on DVD. We are officially obsessed with it and it takes up most of our lives now. We are pitiful...we literally run into our bedroom to start it up as soon as Colin goes to bed. It is the best show and I love that I am spending my evenings cozied up to Jer rather than alone watching HGTV. (although I do love some HGTV!) Now that Jer is home, I plan to get back into the swing of things around here...Colin and I are finally going to start his music class at Gymboree and I still want to look into joining the new YMCA that opened down the street. I really like that they have what looks to be like fun childcare for Colin that I could utilize while I work out, but I have not had the chance to pull my act together to get over there. I don't know what their rates are, so it may not work right now, but I plan to check it out! It seems like it might be a good chance for Colin to get some outside socialization. We shall see!

A KISS FROM MY BABY!
I cannot believe that I got this on camera! I was taking pictures of Colin playing in the laundry bin, so I had the camera on me. I tried this just for the heck of it and turned the camera around as he ran up to me....and I caught the kiss! There are no words for how much I love this boy! HOW CUTE IS HE?!?!
Also...yes, I have always had a deep voice, but I swear I don't always sound like a 60 year old man. Just ignore me and focus on Colin. ;-)

Super Bowl Weekend...Toddler Style!
Yesterday was Super Bowl Sunday and we had a great day all the way around. We packed up and headed over to Jer's parents house for lunch. Colin was thrilled to see his grandparents and have the chance to terrorize their house! They have a big staircase that he must have gone up and down 50 times. My back aches from hunching over to hold his hands, but he absolutely loved it, so it was worth it. We had my favorite Chicken Tettrazini and even got leftovers to bring home...which will be eaten long before Jer gets home...sorry honey. :-) Jer's mom is an incredible musician and has a stunning piano their front room. Colin's loves to sit in her lap and bang on the keys. He runs straight for it! Yesterday she pulled out an old keyboard that plays demo songs as well as a set of maracas and an old guitar. I am pretty sure Colin thought he was a professional musician. He was banging around on everything and having the best time. I have also noticed that he keeps a beat pretty well...he was dancing to the music from the keyboard and staying right on the beat. It was adorable! I think he is musically inclined...we shall see.
Last night we watched the Super Bowl together until it was time for Colin to go to bed. One of my neighbors was having a HUGE party, so I was nervous they would keep Colin awake...they were literally dancing in the street (I think there was a LOT of alcohol and I think they started drinking at noon). Luckily there was not a problem and Colin slept well. The Steelers won despite all of my well wishes for the Cardinals. I love to root for the underdog. (and they Cowboys let me down. AGAIN.) So there you go...weekend wrap-up complete! Here are some pictures of Colin yesterday afternoon. He was watching Enzo in the back yard because he likes to give him a dog bone when he comes back in. SO CUTE!
